Becoming A Member
MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES
1. The College has 5 classes of members:
- Fellows;
- Full members;
- Honorary fellows;
- Student members; and
- Overseas members.
MEMBERSHIP QUALIFICATIONS
To apply for membership of the College, a person must:
Be registered to practise medicine or dentistry in Australia; and
Have commenced a course of training in medical acupuncture approved by the College.
To apply for membership of the College as a student member, a person must be enrolled in an undergraduate course in medicine or dentistry in Australia.
To apply for membership of the College as an overseas member, a person must:-
Be registered to practise medicine or dentistry in their country of residence; and
Have commenced a course of training in medical acupuncture approved by the College.
A full member becomes a Fellow after he or she has passed the Fellowship examination referred to in clause 14.1 of the Constitution.
The Federal Committee may appoint a person to be an Honorary Fellow and withdraw that appointment.
